Course Overview: The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Course Content:

  • High-Quality CPR for Adults, Children, and Infants: Learn the latest techniques and best practices for performing high-quality chest compressions, delivering effective ventilations, and using an AED.
  • Team Dynamics and Communication: Understand the importance of effective team dynamics and communication during resuscitation scenarios.
  • Airway Management: Master the skills necessary for maintaining a patent airway and ensuring adequate ventilation.
  • Relief of Foreign-Body Airway Obstruction: Learn how to recognize and manage choking emergencies in adults, children, and infants.
  • CPR with an Advanced Airway: Learn how to perform CPR in situations where an advanced airway device is in place.
  • Critical Concepts of Early Recognition and Intervention: Emphasize the significance of early recognition and intervention in cardiac and respiratory emergencies.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course: $169 Course

Complete your BLS at the same time by selecting: BLS Add On, at checkout.

Recommended for: Healthcare Professional and Medical Personnel who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency

ACLS Provider Course: Students must be able to identify basic ECG rhythms prior to attending. ACLS Provider course is primarily for healthcare professionals in emergency departments, intensive care units, critical care departments, surgical areas, or pre-hospital environments, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other professionals who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency. The ACLS Provider course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia (VF/VT) arrest, symptomatic bradyarrhythmia, tachyarrhythmia, acute coronary syndrome, and acute ischemic stroke

Course Length: ACLS class is a one day class which may take up to 8 hours. The certification class is offered as a popular extended one day format

Book: REQUIRED to have the ACLS Provider current textbook for this course. If you already own one or have access to one before, during, and after the class, you do not need to purchase one at registration

ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment: REQUIRED All students must complete the: Precourse Self-Assessment and Precourse Work prior to class.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider - $169 Course

Recommended for: Healthcare professionals and medical personnel who may respond to pediatric emergencies. Also recommended for participants interested in this field.

PALS Provider Course: Students must be able to identify basic ECG rhythms prior to attending. The PALS Provider course is designed for pediatricians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, emergency physicians, and other healthcare providers who care for infants and children. The PALS Provider Course teaches participants:

  • To recognize infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest
  • Strategies needed to prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children
  • Skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children in respiratory failure, shock, or cardiopulmonary arrest

Course Length: PALS class is a one day class which may take up to 8 hours. The certification class is offered as a popular extended one day class

Recommended for: Teachers, Fitness Trainers, Security Guards and Laypeople

**This class fulfills the CPR requirement for the California Teaching Credential

**This class is NOT for Daycare Providers, School Bus Drivers or Preschool Teachers (Please take our Pediatric First Aid and CPR AED Course)
